Better Understanding for a Better World (BUBW 2016)

Assalamu'alaikum..
Hi readers, Rama's back!!! It's been a long time, I wish God always protect you wherever and whenever you are. :)

December 23rd, 2015
I received a notification that I was one of 5 Sponsored Programs student winners of the International Education Week Essay contest.

I never thought that I could pass it.
Alhamdulillah, it was like an early birthday gift for me.
Thanks Allah for this chance and for everything you already give to me.

BUBW (Better Understanding for a Better World) is held by CECF (Civilizations Exchange & Cooperation Foundation).

The event took place in Orlando, Florida so It was the first time I traveled alone, usually there's somebody who accompany me or I traveled with a group. It was so CHALLENGING but at the end I made it, yeaaaayy :D. I met 30 students from more than 20 countries, they are so awesome.
I learned many important things through these conference such as about leadership, diversity, how to be success, and many more.
On the 1st day, we arrived in All Star Movie Resort so we started by introduced ourselves to get to know each other and sharing a little bit. I was still remember when I arrived with some students that I met at the airport, we got a warm greetings from the students who arrived first, they are so friendly.
The 2nd day, we went to Epcot at the Disney World. There, we learned about the cultures from different countries, their history and the powerful of languages. Language is really important to build a good communication and also connection. So if you want to have a really good relationship with people around the world, you have to learned the languages because it's kinda like the foundation of it. Not only learned, we also have fun to explored Epcot.

The 3rd day, we went to visit Synagogue which is the Jews' place of worship, Church, and Mosque. If I could choose, those day was my favorite. It was just amazing to learned about other religions that I didn't know before, and the important thing you should know, read this carefully! After I learned about it, I realized that every religion never teach us to be a bad person, religions are always about peace. The problem just, people always think that they or their group/community  are better and always true than others. Believe me, diversity is beautiful. It was a pleasure to me to saw an Imam (Muslim), Pastor (Christian), and Rabbi (Jews) were siting next to each other peacefully without judging each other. So, what are you waiting for? Let's be respectful and tolerance to others because it's not a problem, it's just a difference. At the evening we went to the Disney World Magic Kingdom and had a lots of fun of course ^^

Jews' Holy Book, it when we visited Synagogue.

Magic Kingdom was beautiful ^^

The 4th day, we had a free choice to visit one of three Disney's park so I decided to visit Animal Kingdom and it was sooooooo amazing. And guess what, I found Indonesia stand!!!
At the night we had a Banquet and Certificate Ceremony, I had a chance to showed Indonesia's traditional dance, I wish they like my performance hehe. I felt so happy and sad in the same time. Happy because I could be a part of these conference and sad because tomorrow we should go back to our host state :'(

The 5th day, Honestly I hate to say hello because at the end I should say good bye. Okay, it's not a good bye but it's a see you again. I'm so grateful that I could be a part of them, met amazing people, learned many new things that changed me in a better way of thinking and be more respectful of the differences. Let's be a peace maker!!!

I would to say thank you for the State Department who sponsors my exchange program, Imam Mohammad Bashar Arafat & Kimberly King as the founder of CECF, and the Chaperons who always help us as a participant. Words can't describe how happy and grateful I am to be there.
